Cassette Vision

Battle Vader

Battle Vader is of course a clone of the Space Invaders arcade hit from Taito, but adapted to the limited features of the Cassette Vision system. Thus only the front row of the invaders is visible, surely to limit de number of moving objects to display.

Your bunkers has to be shot three times before they are definately destroyed. Each time an invader hit one, it changes color according to the following cycle: red -> yellow -> blue. Only blue bunkers will be definately destroyed (anyone can confirm this?).

Of course there is still the mothership passing by sometimes at the top of the screen. Destroy hit for better score. At the end of the game this mothership will fly down the screen in zig zag as you must destroy hit before it reaches you.

The cartridge offer 4 different levels to play with.

This game was also marketed earlier as a stand alone system called TV Vader.

Battle Vader was inspired by Space Invaders (*multiple ports*)
Battle Vader is related to Saucer Attack (SD-2xx systems)
