I own a DAI with 48 kbyte RAM. At the time I was 16 but made a little box that, when connected between DAI and cassette recorder allows the DAI to read/write with 9600 baud instead of 300 baud. I still own that one-of-a-kind piece of electronics too. If anyone is interested please $ me mail at alinoe dot com with username carlo

Ahh, used to drool over the articles in the colored magazines dealing in personal computers, Personal Computer World being the king, so to speak. And the DAI was much drooled over.
In the end, Tiki-100 won out… :)

I am interested in vintage computer magazines advertisements for DAI.
Please provide a list of issues with the name of mag, date, country.
So far I found wonderful review in Computing today (UK), August 1981, pages 37-40 (4 pages b/w). Also a full page colour ad on page 65.

Another full page colour ad in Computing today (UK), July 1982 on the inside of the back cover (page 107).

Would like to source the "Transparent view" ad from Germany. Any info?

For scans contact me directly user33 /at/ hrdesignstudio /dot/ com.
Thanks.
Tom

Hi Ken Davies, I have a Dai which has not seen the light of day since the BBC micro was introduced. I think it''s still in good working order (it was when last used) but you''ll have to check it and see.
I have no idea on price - you will have a better idea of what it''s worth and what you are prepared to pay.
Email me on john.hart.jh@gmail.com if you want to follow this up.
Thanks.
John

I am looking for a DAI computer to buy because my old one has broken and I have nothing to play my games on or run my programs on. Does anybody have one to sell please ? Could you email me and let me know if you have one that is working and how much you want for it. I have a MEMOTECH MTX512 which I could trade if anyone is looking for one of those. Thanks

I gonna 'revive' my DAI again. but I need to replace the tv-modulator ... Find an old cassette-player ... tv-set ... and alot of time ...
For those who are interested in DAI-equipment:
I have:
* nearly all the club magazines (DAInamic)
* The assembler-listing of the ROM's (firmware)
* An industrial DAI- DCE -computer system with some I/O-cards and alot of (empty) eproms
* the DCE-hardware designer manual ...

If you need some info ... just let me know ..

Jos

Je viens de réparer mon DAI après 20 années de remisage dans un placard !

Tout fonctionne et j'arrive encore à relire mes vielles cassettes !

Now, there is an emulator for this machine.
The latest version of M.E.S.S. (Multi-Emulator Super System) emulates the DAI in all it's graphics modes.
But software still has to be dumped into MESS-readable format. So only Basic can be played with for now (a very good one for that time).

Who does have Dai Software...I have only the machine, no software at all...

Please send me an e-mail at : wouters.michel@skynet.be
