The Ingersoll XK 410C is one of the few Ingersoll pong systems released at the end of the 70s. This one offers 10 games in colour (hence the "C"): target solo, target double, basket 1, basket 2, gridball, squash 1, squash 2, football, tennis and ice hockey.
Game selection is made through a big slider at the right side of the console. Several switches control game options (speed, player sizes, service automatic or manual). Finally, two orange buttons are used to reset the system and to serve manually (the ball).
On top of the case are two sliders (one for each players) used to keep track of a two players tournament scores. The controllers are detachable but can be stored in the plastic case of the system itself. There are made of an analog joystick and a fire button.
The system offers two shooting games. These are played with the standard controllers - the stick moves a 'cursor' block on the screen and another block move accross the screen from left to right to represent the target. The fire button is the trigger.
The XK 410C uses the same plastic case as the Polycon game systems (see Polycon PG-7 for example).

Strange to see a pong console that featured joysticks as the controllers instead of the usual paddles. I wonder how it plays....

Have just found my old Ingersoll XK410C. It''s still in the original box with instructions, warranty card etc. Also have the Ingersoll transformer with it, all in the carrier bag it came home in! We used to play quite regularly and, as it was all new tech at the time, was loads of fun. The beeping could be a bit tiresome, but hey, that''s what they did then! Didn''t realise just what the future would bring...........

My dad bought one of these- my sister and I used to play on it when i was, like 6.. It took a load of AA batteries, which cost a fortune in the 80s so it was rarely played, that and one of us left the batteries in once and the springs corroded away- I fixed it using pieces of tin foil, lol!..it was great fun cant believe people are still using them!
