The TK83 followed the TK82. It was a close copy of the ZX81 but offered some enhanced features: 2 KB of RAM expandable up to 64 KB, and a joystick interface.

The tape speed could be either 300 or 4200 baud per second. The machine shipped with a beige or silver case, the same size as the ZX-81's.
