This is an exclusive european version derived from Magnavox pong systems (the Magnavox Odyssey 4000 has the same case), as Philips owned Magnavox at this time. It offers three games in color (Tennis, Hockeu & Squash) via a National Semiconductor chip. There are 6 game variations, automatic speed adjustment and the active player gets highlighted.
There are absolutely no button or switch on this system, all settings are made with the two buttons on the controllers. One button is used to select a game while the other one resets the game. These paddles are very similar to those of the later Odyssey²/Videopac systems, except that they have knobs instead of sticks.
Please consider donating your old computer / videogame system to Old-Computers.com or one of our partners.
My Odyssey has the original supply (marked Philips) , but it is also marked as an 18,6 Vdc supply and unloaded the voltage is a wooping 32Vdc !
Good thing there is an internal LM342 regulator but when that pops....well.....

Beetle Bailey (DK)
Here are a few subtle bonus features of this system, thanks to the National Semiconductor chip: - To change the paddle size, move your paddle off the playfield and press the reset button. Each player can independently choose from 3 paddle sizes. - When it is your turn to serve, the ball will be served from the location of your paddle. - To pause a match between balls, move your paddle off the screen when it is your turn to serve. The game will wait until your paddle returns to the playfield.
