PC 9801 E

The PC-9801E belongs to the famous NEC PC-98xx family. This is not an IBM PC compatible system. Its architecture is original.

Unlike the PC-9801F, the PC-9801 has no built-in disk drives.

We need more info about this computer ! If you designed, used, or have more info about this system, please send us pictures or anything you might find useful.

They could use both. Later ones came with the 5.25", but could use the PC-8882A 8" drive. Even had an option board for MS-DOS /1.2 Windows, if I remember correctly.
