Players Choice

Players Choice is another game inspired by Pong arcade hit and its variations. The particularity of this version released by PMC Electronics is, as the name indicates, to offer two different games in one arcade cabinet, so it's up to the players which one they want to play, an innovative concept at the time.

Thus Players Choice offers two games: Blue Line and Boss. Both can be played by 2 or 4 players using the knobs of the control panel.

Blue Line
This one is classicaly a simple hockey game for 2 or 4 players. Each team/player must send the ball in the opponnent goal.

A smooth-fast-action packed with features galore.

Boss
This one is a direct copy of Elimination (Kee Games, 1973) / Quadra Pong (Atari, 1974). It's an elimination type game. Each player (2 or 4) defend its own goal field and have 4 "lives" represented as 4 dots along the boundaries of the playfield. Each time a goal is scored the related player looses 1 life. When he has no lives left, he's game over. And so on, until there's only one player left...

Its main particularity/difference from its models is that the ball sticks to the paddle upon reception for a second or so, giving time to the player to aim his shot...

It's not clear if the central cross is deflective or just for "decoration"

A challenging elimination type game that will hold the players in suspense until the very end. Paddle catches the ball - Players aims the ball - Fires automatically.
