TV Hockey (4 players)

TV Hockey from Amutronics is an early arcade videogame from 1973, largely inspired by Pond Doubles from Atari released the same year.

It's a "ball and paddle" game for 2 or 4 players. Each player control his paddle with a dedicated knob. In two players mode, each player control two paddles at the same time (to be confirmed).

The gameplay mimics a game of Hockey, though it could be also played as a soccer game, as it's often the case whith these early paddle games.

The differences with Pong Doubles are:
- The boundaries of the playfield are displayed as white borders (none in Atari's game)
- There is a serve button to launch the ball after each points (automatic in Pong Doubles)
- The goals are particularly well represented, a nice graphical touch for 1973 !

There was also a two players version of TV Hockey from Amutronics released earlier the same year (1973), but it's a different game, very similar to Hockey TV from Sega, where mid-fields paddles move automaticaly during the game...
