I only had the dual 5 1/4 floppy drive unit. I connected it to my Sinclair ZX Spectrum with some floppy interface bought in the UK. The drives made a funny noise when starting up. Also had a slightly newer Casio keyboard model and hacked the PCB traces to connect it to the Spectrum mainboard. I wish I could play with these again.

I still have a FP1100. I saved it in 96 when my school was throwing them out. Sometimes i play with it when i want some retro feeling :)

Now that Youtube exists, I found it funny to upload a couple of Casio demos and games running on my FP-1100. You can find them on my Youtube channel : http://www.youtube.com/user/monolith7777777/videos

This was the first PC I laid my hands on !
With a FP-1000, I learned BASIC and Pascal and got my first programmer diploma at the age of 12.

One thing that is not noted here is the Casio FP 1100 computer could also support Dual CPU. I don''t know if it was standard for that model. It was at least an option.

I owned a FP-1100 with several extensions from 1986 until 2006. Then it was recycled :-(
But the compolete Systemsoftware and documentation is still available. Feel free to mail me for information about.

I still have an FP-1100 with dual floppy drive in perfect working condition. I was wondering if there was any known way to read back FP-1020FD floppies on a PC ? I have lots of software to share. Also, it would be nice to gather homemade software made by others. Since there is almost no information on this computer (also on FP-200 and 6000 by the way), I am projecting to create a website dedicated to these computers. I have all the user AND service manuals - I only must find the time to scan them :)

I sold several FP1000/1100 Casio´s in Angola. I developed for them a number of business aplications made in COBOL running under CP/M.. These machines were the more reliable I ever sold, owned and used in my life. Many years of intense work in harsh enviroments and NONE of the around 50 machienes I sold ever broke down...AND I can tell you that they REALLY worked hard.... AT the time the configuration I used used to have two 8 inch high density FDD....GREAT MACHINE .....
