Ingersoll
XK 410C

The Ingersoll XK 410C is one of the few Ingersoll pong systems released at the end of the 70s. This one offers 10 games in colour (hence the "C"): target solo, target double, basket 1, basket 2, gridball, squash 1, squash 2, football, tennis and ice hockey.

Game selection is made through a big slider at the right side of the console. Several switches control game options (speed, player sizes, service automatic or manual). Finally, two orange buttons are used to reset the system and to serve manually (the ball).

On top of the case are two sliders (one for each players) used to keep track of a two players tournament scores. The controllers are detachable but can be stored in the plastic case of the system itself. There are made of an analog joystick and a fire button.

As the system offers two shooting games, it must have been possible to connect a lightgun to play these. It is not clear if this lightgun was sold with the system or sold as an option.

The XK 410C uses the same plastic case as the Polycon game systems (see Polycon PG-7 for example).

Daddsy reports :
I had one of these machines and can confirm it did not come with a gun as standard - the shooting games were played with the standard controllers - the stick moved a 'cursor' block on teh screen and another block moved accross the screen from left to right to represent the target. The fire button was the trigger. I seem to remember the target moved quite fast which made it more difficult than it looked!

We need more info about this pong ! If you designed, used, or have more info about this system, please send us pictures or anything you might find useful.
