If you are within a reasonable driving distance to the greater Atlanta area, I would like to make you aware of a new user group for computer history / collecting enthusiasts - the Historical Computer Society.
The get-togethers will always be about fun and hanging out, plus showing and playing with cool old systems, presentations, open discussions and more. Though I am the founder, I intend that the group evolve into a stand-alone, self-governing, non-profit, and educational organization. Please email me with any questions or comments. *** Important Update ***
We no longer meet at the Macquarium building. After a poor turnout at my place of work, I canceled trying to hold meetings there. Instead, I created a discussion group for the Historical Computer Society. There are a few of us there now, and we are building a grassroots organization that way. This is a group to become a lot like MARCH (http://www.marchclub.org/) for the greater Atlanta / southeast US region. A few of us had our first meeting in a restaurant yesterday, so I think that is a good start.
