Hi Daw - please can you send a message (via this site) to terrapindundee who used to work on pdp's as I know he was looking for a PDP machine not that long ago.
One of the first computers I used was a Scandata 3000, which was controlled by a PDP8. Thanks - Mike |

HI,
I'm back (a few days off sick), thanks for the thought Mike. DAW, I would contact the Computer History Museum in California, although they probably have PDP-11's. There is also MARCH, they do computer rescues stateside. There are the PDP Planet forums for anything PDP related, and DigiBarn museum in Northern California. Personally I'm after a PDP-7 or 7A but I doubt that will ever come to fruition. A PDP-8 would be nice to connect to my KSR35 and ASR33 and get them clattering again. A PDP-11 is not worth shipping over the water due to the costs, but within the states, maybe it is. I don't know the HP 2114B but those groups would be a useful starting point for that one as well. Best regards, Mike Hatch. Edited by terrapindundee - 21 June 2010 at 4:50am |

Dave was kind enough to make the machines available to me. They are enroute and due here in Chicago in the next few days. I'll have more info when they arrive.
