I have just signed up to this forum as I am hoping someone here can shed some light on the Philips P5000 series of computers.

My grandparents have one of these and a daisywheel printer, both are in fully working order. I am trying to determine exactly which one of the series it is and find some information about it. This site was the only place on the whole of the WWW that I could find anything about them! http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=994#ebay
Any information anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

I can be contacted at stevewynn1@mac.com also

Many thanks

Steve

Hi Steve - googling:-

philips +p5000 +"word processor"

produced around 250 hits.

I did not delve deeper, but some appeared to shed more light on the machine concerned.

Give thought to converting any of its documents that might be required in the future, to a more modern format.

Regards - Mike
